Haha, Those Faux Beltway Bozos Just Spread Shrub Sunshine
Edited on Sat Oct-22-05 06:43 PM by UTUSN
No, it's not a shock that Bozo1 Fred BARNES and Bozo2 Mort KONDRACKE continue at this late date to toady for Shrub.

In their segment where they play who's-UP/who's-DOWN this week, they featured Saddam as DOWN, a gubernatorial candidate as DOWN, "the fast food industry" as UP (for having dodged the bullet of a Fat Tax).

Now, besides that Saddam has been in a state of forgone Downdom for a couple of three years now, there is a funny kind of disporportion of condition among the different honorees--a scattershot of great and tiny circumstances.

Yet, in a week where the installed leader of the most powerful country has spiraled into record disfavor, and when multiple key figures of his regime are shuddering under looming indictments, and the dripping of the FALSITY of his governing has become a torrent--------Bozos 1&2 have nary a word to say about Shrub's being "Down" at all.

In fact, Bozo1 BARNES even signed off with this sunny interpretation of Shrub's low poll ratings: When a graphic linked past presidential low ratings to a loss of his party's seats in upcoming congressional elections ------Bozo1 said, perkily, "But THOSE low ratings were RIGHT BEFORE the elections. These are A YEAR AWAY!!" So there!

But just think what a DOWNER it must be to be a Number TWO Bozo to BARNES.

1. Yes the elections are a year away
Problem is there is nothing bush can do or say to turn the situation around in a years time. Social security "reform"? DOA. Terra warnings? A real yawner. Fake a terraist attack? Fool me once ...ya can't get fooled again. Attack Iran or Syria? With what army? Pull out of Iraq? Despite all of bush's tough talk I expect them to do this. But it will just lead to more questions like why couldn't this have been done last year, or why did we even go in there we haven't achieved anything. Tax cut for the wealthy? Been there done that and ther's nothing left to cut. Get enough wackos on the SCOTUS to repeal roe v wade? Never happen in a year probably not at all. Martial law? I don't think the pipsqueak has the cojones to do this and it will cause him major problems with his base particularly if gun control is mentioned. So I see no scenario whereby bush is able to recover from his slide in the polls, and when the repub congressional candidates start to run away from him he's gonna go further down. I think once again the beltway bores have misfired.

2. I'm Sending Them This at beltway@foxnews.com
The last time, when I criticized Bozo2, he had their staffer "Michelle" answer, saying that I should get my facts straight before I dare to criticize the talent.
