What does "corporate sustainability" mean?
My new job is with a company that belongs to the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index - I am looking at the brochure but not comprehending. What does this mean?

1. A buzzword
that can mean anything at any given time to suit any given situation which is to say it means nothing.

4. I get that impression too. The word is completely abused.
Governments now all talk about sustainable development when they mean no such thing. It's just nonsense.

5. Well, let's see...
How about those companies and their investors who seek to do business in a responsible, environmentally proactive manner? Like maybe solar panel manufactures? Or environmentally friendly products, like Seventh Generation? I'm sure there's a list of them available, so then you can go ask them.
