Why not indict Administration officials on everything, not just easy to |
|
prove crimes?
Seems to me that it's worth a shot going after Administration officials "knowingly revealing Plame's identity" along with easier to prove crimes like, false statements, obstruction of justice and disclosing classified information. I say indict on everything that is a possibility and hope for convictions on all counts. If that doesn't pan out and you end up with convictions on the lesser charges, then at least you tried.
 Right?

You need a specific charge to investigate. I do believe it's in the Constitution.
Not that it generally stops them from doing it themselves, but when you want to take out the top dog, you need an iron-clad bill of goods.
