Hurricane Wilma-Central Florida, how are you?
Dawnne in Daytona Beach here. So far we have a lot of wind and the rain is incredible. How is it in other parts, since there's a lot of areas that the news channels are not showing. Stay safe, everyone. I know they have a lot of problems in Brevard right now.

1. Good luck. Just spoke w/ my parents in Boca Raton,
No power and the winds are picking up. Looks as if the eye will pass over W. Palm Beach/Palm Beach Area. I heard the winds on the back side of the storm are worse than front winds.

Good luck to everyone in Wilma's Path!

16. Last year during Charlie I was working for an Auto parts retailer
We had to come in to open up the day of the Hurricane. We stayed open for about two hours.

We had ONE FREAKING customer who come in for a gas can which we had none in stock.

For some stupid unknown reason beyond the scope of rational thinking the district manager thought we would be busy.

So we opened up until the idea of no sales that day penetrated his thick skull.

75 MPH winds and you are going to change your cars oil???? yeah, right

19. Kissimmee - Lots of Rain, Wind up to 45MPH
It's been raining all night long. Wind has gusted up to 45 MPH, which is quite mild compared to Charley's fury last year.

I hope the sucker gets the hell out of the state a.s.a.p. I lived in Boca Raton near the Palm Beach/Broward county line a few years ago. What a gorgeous area. Spare her, Wilma.

Marco Island is a paradisal place, also. I hate to even think about the destruction down there. Please have mercy, Wilma.

Stay safe all. November 30th can't come soon enough!

Still trying to reason with hurricane season ... (with apologies to Jimmy Buffet)
