The RW echo chamber....
is it also about to implode? We know that the neocons are teetering on the brink, but what about the media? It seems to me that these people only listen to each other and and do not fact check either. The shrillness has also intensified recently. Do they just keep spinning or does the need to intensify hollow rhetoric cause reverberations which cause the machine to crash down?

1. Kicking. Interested in responses.
Primarily, because this machine is well funded and may be able to be maintained for sometime independent of the rise and fall of politicos. Any thoughts?

2. Like you said, there is still plenty of money.
I've always felt that there must be a good-sized portion of the Echo Chamber that's in it for the cash. All of the RW radio hosts are whores selling books, and living off of the tit of the Mellon-Scaife Foundation. Every former "staffer" just hangs around the Beltway looking for the next buck to be made from running off at the mouth.

3. I haven't seen any more than superficial self examination
by the media. They wring their hands and wax philosophical about journalistic "ethics" (when none of them deserves to sharpen a real journalist's pencils), the effects of Judy Patootie's jailing on journalistic "integrity" (THAT's a laugh in today's world!) and the effect of the now obvious WMD lies and media water-carrying on the perception of journalistic "credibility" (which is an oxymoron--at least for those doing this daily teeth gnashing).

All the while, they ignore their own culpability in treason, lies to the public, the rise of fascism and the untolddeath suffering and cost of an illegal war they helped to champion.

Bastards need to be purged.

4. The crash of the Hate Radio/Media Bubble.... interesting
Love to see it happen. but these guys are never going away. There is just too much Hatred in the world and these people thrive on it, but it may very well thin itself down a bit. They will just start losing audience and start having bad publicity about them. I think this is happening to Ann Coulter right now. She is becoming a Piriah and I expect O'Reilly and Limbaugh to follow, but someone else will pick up a mike or laptop and start creating a sensation in some manner. Hatred is going to go on and on and on as long as mankind exists.
