I was thinking the same thing this morning as I was watching the news, getting ready for work. All the headlines were like "Gas prices drop 20 cents in past two weeks" and my first thought was that maybe that was their strategy - raise prices to obsene levels for a few weeks so that we're happy paying $2.60+ per gallon.
I'd say for all those people who are happy with this 20 cent drop, just think that if in January of this year someone told you that before the end of the year you'd be paying $2.60 per gallon, what would your reaction be? My guess is, the answer would be "pissed off".
