Kay Bailey Hutchinson Flip-flopped on PERJURY!
Edited on Mon Oct-24-05 11:20 AM by Walt Starr
She's a Class I Senator which means she's up for re-election next year.

She should now be considered vulnerable by the DNC. We need to go after her seat because she's a flip flopping flip flopper!

5. she's disgusting
she cheated her way into office and she knows ALL ABOUT perjury from a very personal view.

And, she's a social conservative - she seems to think that some Americans are less worthy of the protections of law than others, even though our queer tax dollars are every bit as green as anyone else's.

She agrees with the CIA's policies that bar openly gay people from holding advanced security clearances, from serving openly in the military (except in times of war) and she has gone out of her way to support homophobic policy and legislation throughout her legislative career.

I have literally dozens of letters and written exchanges (very civil of course) with her and more than a few with her explaining her "moral duty" to her constituency (read: the suckers that vote FOR me) to support the legislative stances that she does.

She can't be gone soon enough - she's part of the problem that got us into this economic and foreign policy pickle to begin with.

Wish I could pick up and move to Texas so I could vote against her, but we got problems in Florida.

The wicked witch of CentralFlorida wants to unseat Bill Nelson and my District has a bushpuppet in the House.

6. We are (going after her):
She has a DC fundraiser scheduled with Harry Reid, Dick Durbin, Charles Schumer, Debbie Stabenow, and others on November 8. Here's her response to KBH's hypocrisy:

Texas Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate Barbara Ann Radnofsky called on her Republican opponent to resign if she tolerates perjury. "No elected official should tolerate or excuse perjury. I call on Kay Bailey Hutchison to renounce perjury. She should resign if she tolerates it," Radnofsky said.

8. My letter to Kay:
Are you feeling alright? I’m worried you might have a split-personality disorder. Look at this:

Kay Bailey Hutchison, Feb. 12, 1999--What would we be telling Americans -- and those worldwide who see in America what they can only hope for in their own countries -- if the Senate of the United States were to conclude: The President lied under oath as an element of a scheme to obstruct the due process of law, but we chose to look the other way? I cannot make that choice. I cannot look away. I vote `Guilty' on Article I, Perjury. I vote `Guilty' on Article II, Obstruction of Justice.

Kay Bailey Hutchison, October 23, 2005--I certainly hope that if there is going to be an indictment that says something happened, that it is an indictment on a crime and not some perjury technicality where they couldn’t indict on the crime so they go to something just to show that their two years of investigation were not a waste of time and dollars.

So what is it? Have you done a lot of soul-searching since you voted to impeach Bill Clinton on the charge of perjury and now you are really, really, sorry you voted that way? Or are you just politicizing crime?

Here’s an idea. How about a little more outrage that the root cause of these “perjury technicalities” is because the White House Iraq Group was engaged in a cover-up to hide the fact that their reasons for going to war were lies and exaggerations? You owe that to all the Texas soldiers who have lost their lives or been seriously injured fighting this bogus war. Spare us your self-righteous pontificating.

Eagerly awaiting my snail mail, form letter reply.
