It was the son of a doorman who shined a light on the criminals
Edited on Mon Oct-24-05 02:13 PM by Lex
in the White House. Don't forget that.

Fitzgerald never got into college on a "legacy." His daddy or his rich buddies never bailed him out of screw-ups and bankrupted businesses.

He worked hard to get where he is. He puts the bad guys out of business. He's the son of a doorman.

And that's what I love about my country.

1. If I weren't so cool.......
I'd almost be choking up about the beauty of that statement.

Fixed it. Thanks.

All I can hear in my head is "Fitz-mas."

6. My parents always taught me to be nice and polite to the doormen.
Edited on Mon Oct-24-05 02:13 PM by Cassandra
For one thing, they are people there to protect and help me and for another, they know EVERYTHING that goes on in your building. Fitzgerald was apparently shaped by encounters with the selfish and rude rich when he was a part time doorman himself.

8. Fitzgerald was a part time doorman himself?
I'm not surprised. Most of us had to have part-time jobs to help defray the expenses of school, or to make money in the summer.

13. I'll reply to your replies to all the Fitzgerald posts
because I am going crazy, and there is no point in trying to get any work done.

Okay, well, I won't stalk you around to reply to ALL of your replies to Fitzgerald posts, because that would be creepy. If I run into other such posts, I may or may not reply.

:freak:

I'm losing it, I'm losing it, doo-dooo-doo-doo!!

14. That's okay. It's not like you're stalking me, you'd be stalking the Fitz.
And he's worthy of stalking. tee hee! I just love seeing that clip they always show where he is racing to his car trying to get away from all those reporters. You can tell he hates that!

10. I know another attorney who worked her way through Law
school. She had several jobs at one time. She even slept on the dorm floor a semester when her name wasn't drawn for a room. She's one of the most thoughtful people that I ever knew.My favorite person. :hi: Maybe Fitz is a little like her.

15. Bravo...
Watch "Gattica", the movie. The spelling may be wrong. The idea that an elite or noble person getting a job over somebody deserving yet poor comes to mind when I see that movie. This is exactly why fascism will never flourish. In fact the two words "Fascism" and "Flourish" work badly with each other.
