Will this wind quit blowing Already??!!!!
I'm on the Gulf Coast, just North of Clearwater, almost 200 miles north of where Wilma!! came ashore. It started raining about 8:30 last night, and quit about 8:30 this morning. Mostly light rain.

We had some good wind last night, but the later it got after the rain stopped, and the skies cleared, the wind kept picking up. 40+mph sustained, with gusts over 60 mph. We're still getting gusts over 40mph.

Hold on to your hats, East Coast.

1. Strange thing is
we have had heavy wind all day in Tallahasse, not related at all to Wilma. Leaves and branches everywhere.

Glad you came through ok.

4. I think this comes from the "feeder bands"
That are getting sucked into Wilma. Straight out of the North here. But nice and sunny!

11. It's easier to make lemonade from lemons than it is to make
turbines from stuff around the house.

9. Gainesville is very windy
at least it's sunny, but my yard is full of Spanish moss. I hate Spanish moss. I used to think it was so lovely, until I owned two acres of it. Oh well, I could use the exercise.
