What does this say about a presidency? |
|
The importance of rover to bush is no secret. It's spoken of constantly by corporate media, bloggers and most everyone here at DU. Books have been written about him and he is even more high profile now than ever.
There is so much emphasis placed on rover's importance to bush that he practically carries bush.
It seems to me if there was no scandal and no indictments were coming rover's resignation would debilitate the WH anyway.
This should be a lesson to future presidents. Don't rely so heavily on one individual to such a degree that to not have him/her it would have a devastating effect.

3. Do you think the others around bush view him as incompetent? |
|
No, don't laugh. I mean that seriously. I wonder whether they are deluded into thinking he is especially bright and well-qualified to handle the job. Or did they hitch their wagon to him because they figured they had an unusual opportunity to make a difference (however they define that)?
I include in this: Bartlett, Rove, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Miers, Hughes, Libby, etc.
Could it be this is the brightest man any of them have met?

4. No, I think they see him as the perfect front man |
|
exactly because he is as dumb as a rock, and dumb enough to think he's actually in charge when everyone else in the room knows he's just a puppet for Cheney and others.
They probably say worse things about him than we at DU do when he's out of earshot.
