Calling perjury a "technicality" cements the impression that the Repubs
are corrupt and rotten to the core. Same with obstruction of justice. They have also shown a distressing tendency towards "muerta" (spelling? which is what I think they call the code of silence in actual official organized crime families. I might be wrong about this term - it's been a while since I've seen the Sopranos) This is a crazy posture for the Republicans to take. It should violate their internal wiring and make them implode.

3. Amazing how they flip-flop. Remember Clinton?
They would LOVE to have seen Clinton hung from the highest tree for the same charge.

8. yes, thanks and also joemurphy
that is the term I was casting about for.

I see this as connecting to neocons as I think they have a loyalty to group or class or caste or cabal ( or connected group of aspens to quote Libby) that is greater than loyalty to country or laws for the rest of us peons. It's reflective of Leona Helmsley's statement that "only the little people pay taxes."
