I call on Bush to step down
Save the country the pain of what these indictments will bring to the sacred office of President. Step away from the Presidency Mr Bush..

I may not be a big important politician but my call for him to step down is just as valid as anyones.

4. That would be a noble thing to do. But Tweety's comments
notwithstanding, the clown hasn't a noble bone in his body.

5. Bush's Arrogance
Will not allow him to step down, and that's a fact of which we are all aware.

all I got was a stupid letter:

On behalf of President Bush, thank you for your correspondence.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, President Bush and all
Americans send their thoughts and prayers to the families of
those who have lost lives and to all those affected by this
natural disaster.

The President is directing Federal agencies throughout the
government to do all in their power to assist the victims of
Hurricane Katrina. The top priority is to save and sustain lives.
President Bush established a White House task force to oversee
Hurricane Katrina response and recovery, and he convened a Cabinet
meeting to ensure that Federal agencies' efforts are timely and
fully coordinated. Residents of the Gulf Coast states affected by
the hurricane have lost loved ones, lost homes, and been displaced
from their communities, and they will have the full support of the
Federal government.

The President has called for the coordination of all parties
involved in the response and relief efforts. Federal, state, and
local governments are working side-by-side to deliver relief to
the areas physically damaged by Hurricane Katrina and to
communities across the South that will be affected in the aftermath
of the storm. Efforts and resources are focused on saving lives,
sustaining lives, and supporting long-term recovery. For
information and guidance you may wish to visit the FEMA website at
www.fema.gov or call 800-621-3362 or 800-621-FEMA.

The President has called on all Americans to support the relief and
rescue efforts through charitable contributions and aid. Americans
who wish to contribute can do so by contacting charities that are
assisting with hurricane relief. For more information on relief
and recovery efforts, please visit the USAFreedom Corps website at
www.usafreedomcorps.gov .

Thank you again for taking the time to write.

13. How about if we pray for him to step down, then?
It would be funny if someone held a prayer vigil outside the White House, praying for the administration to resign.

14. Remember, the White House said "thoughts and prayers" so we
could have a non-religious "thought vigil" outside the White House and think about getting the people in there to think.

11. It would be nice to have him step down but then his fellow
Rethugs wouldn't get to hear all the criminal and unethocal things those bastards did. They need to have someone lay it out for them in black and white. Even then there will be some that still think he's God himself and cannot do any wrong. Only a trial will bring out the facts...and the whole world needs to know them.

12. Well, I call on Bush to step down too -

I call on him to resign, give a speech in which he apologizes to everyone, prostrates himself in total abjection, then rises up and says "I am a poopy-head" repeatedly as he walks to the Helicopter to take him away. I call on him to allow Cindy Sheehan to use his old fraternity paddle to wallop him continually on the fanny as he walks to that Helicopter. I call for him to trip on the steps of the Helicopter in a particularly awkward and undignified manner. I call on him, once at home in Crawford, to sell off $1 million of his stocks and or other investments, and then send half of that to DU, as a way to begin to make amends for all his failures. I call on him to send the other half to me, the_spectator, just 'cause I'm such a swell guy.

GLENDOWER: I can call spirits from the vasty deep. HOTSPUR: Why, so can I, or so can any man; But will they come when you do call for them? Shakespeare's King Henry IV, Part 1. Act 3, Scene 1.

16. sounds about right to me.
Seriously though, the more people who call on him to step down, the more serious they (media, WH, Congress etc) take this. Most people believe they ignore these things but IMO they really dont. They may TRY to ignore popular opinion, but thats impossible.

Say it loud and proud. Its time to step down Mr bush.
