1. They are off the chain over there |
|
- First, they are advancing the theory that it's Fitzgerald's office leaking this information, which there is absolutely no evidence of. - And despite all evidence to the contrary, they are still saying she was a "desk jockey" and apparently well known in the CIA.
Mercy, they have no clue.

Here is the text of the response I posted to the Freeper who said Plame was a desk jockey:
Since you seem to be so in the dark on the Valerie Plame case, and her status in the CIA, I am more than happy to enlighten you, friend.
Valerie Plame was NOT a desk jockey.
She was a covert CIA operative with unofficial cover.
Do you know what that means?
It means that she were to go overseas somewhere, as part of her job, and she got kidnapped or taken hostage, the United States would not provide any official help to rescue her.
There are some CIA operatives who actually have "cover," so if they were to go overseas and get kidnapped, the U.S. would provide resources to help rescue them.
Because of Valerie Plame's status as someone with unofficial cover, the United States would not have validated her identity and tried to rescue her.
She put her life on the line for her country, to work on issues of weapons of mass destruction, and her government repaid her by outing her for purely political reasons.

I don't believe Cheney ever testified before the grand jury. Since we know that there was no crime committed in the first place, unless Cheney committed some violation of process with Fitzgerald, then there is nothing he can be charged with.

I've been told that I'm a troll and I've come to the wrong place.
And that Valerie Plame was outed by Aldrige Aimes years ago and there was no way they were going to send her anywhere overseas.

16. Outted By Aldrich Ames? There's A New One... |
|
Ahhh...there's the Clenis, too. Since Ames gave up Plame's identity in the 90's...of course during Clinton's watch (even though Ames did most of his dirty work during the Raygun and Poppy Bush years)...she really wasn't an agent? So she remained on the CIA payroll for all those years as damaged goods? Someone's gotta rescrambled this one for me.

If she was truly outed by Aldrige Aimes, she would not have remained a covert operative.
Their talking points defy and logic.

are never even considered by these freeps as the source of these leaks, when the reporters make it pretty clear (to anybody w a brain) that this stuff is coming from defence lawyers.

15. This was only my 2nd time visiting Freeperville |
|
But what amazes me about them is how they don't live in the reality-based community.
All the lies they are spewing over there have been de-bunked already.
They are still saying that Joe Wilson claimed Cheney sent him to Niger. They are saying Valerie Plame was a desk jokey.
They really aren't very well educated, are they? Can they even read?
The other thing that strikes me, is how they instantly revoked my posting priviledges once I responded to their lies.
Here on DU, we don't do that to our Republican trolls.
We know we have the truth on our side. And we don't mind a healthy, honest, debate. They want to ban anyone who doesn't agree with them.

23. The Damage Assessment Report |
|
Unfortunately, I don't think we'll ever know the extent of the damage her outing has caused.
After a CIA operative's identity has been compromised, the CIA usually does what is called a Damage Assessment Report, which basically outline the damage caused to the organization by the outing of one of its covert operatives.
The Damage Assessment Reports are normally not made public, because of the sensitivity of the information.
When Larry Johnson (former colleauge of Valerie Plame's) was on Majority Report about 2 weeks ago, he said he was on Capitol Hill, talking with a Senator who happened to have the CIA Damage Assessment Report that was done after the Aldrige Aimes incident. The Senator told Larry Johnson "I can't share any of this with you, but it would blow your mind."

Well, we already know one damage: that "energy company" she worked for, that served as the front for her covert work, had to fold after she was outed. They no longer exist because of her outing.
But as far as knowing if anyone was killed as a result of their association with her, we'll never know that.
