Sad, because pretty much all they can do is name-calling. And even the name-calling is pretty feeble.

David Gergen Compares Wilson/Plame Affair to Watergate
NewsBusters ^ | 10/21/05 | Noel Sheppard

Posted on 10/24/2005 7:09:04 PM PDT by Only Waxing

David Gergen was questioned this morning during a CBS segment concerning the possibility of indictments to White House chief aide Karl Rove and Dick Cheney chief of staff Scooter Libby. The “Early Show's” Bill Plante mentioned that the White House is behaving like it’s business as usual. Gergen responded: “Bill, I was in the Nixon White House during Watergate, and we pretended that we were all about business as usual. And we had a president who was talking to the portraits. It was not business as usual, but you have to say it.”

Gergen later in the interview said: “This is a presidency that has almost collapsed.”

Davy Gergen attends too many Cantabridgian cocktail parties to know what is actually happening anymore. Harvard Square is a more insular echo-chamber even than is DC!

If Gergen lived in RI, he'd be called Lincoln Chaffee.

Poor David, its time for you to get back to the home.

Who listens to him? Better question, why listen to him?

He hates the Bushes and gives RHINOS a bad name.

Oh, let me see.
On the one hand, we have a third-rate burglary of a campaign headquarters. On the other? We have an illegal CIA operation undertaken during a time of war to discredit a sitting president.

I think I get what he's saying...

Did any of the MSM ever describe Clinton's presidency as "collapsing?" I HATE THESE PEOPLE.

Gergen knows that he won't even be a footnote when they write about GWB in the future.
"Gergen" ryhmes with "Has Been".

2. An illegal CIA operation to discredit the President
in time of war?

Wow. I guess it's true. You get enough monkeys pounding at enough keyboards and something approaching intelligible text can emerge.

7. Yeah, what's new?
Perjury is only a crime if a Democrat does it. It's to be expected from Repukes.

Those who trash him now are ignorant. How sad.

10. Indeed...
He's not only an academic, but served under four presidents. I would guess he knows a thing or two about the inner workings of the White House.

When freepers don't have an argument to stand on, it's follow the party standard procedure and attack the person.

Bush calls CIA leak case 'very serious'

"This is a very serious investigation," Bush said. Rove sat behind the president in the Cabinet room; across the room sat Libby.
