Coulter Admits She's 'Not a Big Fan of the First Amendment' |

NEW YORK Newspaper columnist Ann Coulter confessed that she's "not a big fan of the First Amendment" during an Oct. 20 speech in Florida, according to a Oct. 21 story in the Independent Florida Alligator.
The article -- linked on BradBlog.com -- also noted that Coulter "criticized the media for being liberal and Democrats for whining about their rights under the First Amendment. 'They're always accusing us of repressing their speech,' she said. 'I say let's do it. Let's repress them.'"
Many of the more than 800 people in the audience applauded Coulter's remarks, according to the Alligator story. The article said attendees paid between $25 and $75 to hear the conservative pundit -- with the money going to the Alachua County Republican Party, which paid Coulter $30,000 to speak.
The Universal Press Syndicate columnist also called the Iraq War "a magnificent success," according to the story.

1. It amazes me that there would be 800 people stupid enough to.. |
|
pay between $25 and $75 to hear Coulter speak outrageous garbage, just to keep the pot boiling, so she can collect $30,000.00. Will those people ever realize they are being duped.

|
"Liberal" media taken away. The republican right wing will continue to have the rights of the First Amendment.

needs to be hanged, comes the revolution.
From a flagpole in front of the Supreme Court. Upside down, like Mussolini.
(Just joking in the same vein as Ms. Coulter, Mr. Gonzales.)

16. Well, THAT would certainly answer THE question once and for all |
|
By hanging her "from a flagpole in front of the Supreme Court. Upside down....", we'd sure find out the answer to the great question that seems to plague this forum:
Ann Coulter....Man or Woman?
On that alone, never mind all the other reasons too numerous to mention, I'm in favor!!!!:sarcasm:

6. Allow me to exercise my first amendment rights while I still have them: |
|
Ann Coulter is a vile, hate-filled, scum-sucking pusbag COW.
Stupid bint, the whole point of our system of government is that you protect the minority point of view because someday you WILL BE THE MINORITY. Didn't think about that, did you?

There aren't too many hate-filled, man-handed women with Adam's apples who spew such vile anecdotes to make a quick buck out there - thankfully.

It's not that she's a whore, it's that she's a dishonest whore. Isn't that it, really?
Well and good to put down the constitution, but flat-out insane to use the right to free speech to condemn free speech. Dazzle them with bullshit, is all I can figure.
I hope she ends up looking as foolish and ugly as Tammy Faye. Just give her a few years. She isn't going to be looking very good. Then, no one will want to listen to her, and she'll be turned inside out as she begins to understand why no one wants to listen to her.
As opposed to the wonderful, BEAUTIFUL Helen Thomas, whom I would listen to any time, on any subject, and feel myself the better person for it. Beautiful on the inside, wise all the way around, hate directed toward those that deserve it, and a vested interest in the rest of us.
I think, if Ann could trade places with Jessica Simpson or Paris Hilton, she would. That's what I think of her. She's selling the only commodity she has, pretty much as a token "female" voice for the neocons (and a slutty one at that), and it's just another illustration of how foolish she is that she doesn't realize her shelf-life is soon to expire, with such a shallow and materialistic audience. She'll be sad when "the boys" aren't talking about her anymore. It will be most amusing to hear what she has to say then. Now that's entertainment!

need I say more. Although Alachua County isn't a stronghold of Conservatives, the surrounding area is. She was preaching to the choir, all vapid, bigoted, red necked, bush-bots that haven't developed critical thinking skills. The herd mentality prevails and the herd's chief idiot once again proved that she's a mentally deranged, imbalanced, pseudo-intellectual fool. That she considers the Iraq war to be "a huge success" is all the proof I need on that point. The First Amendment is the only reason this reptilian, frigid, scum bucket is allowed to spew her filth in the first place. :eyes:

Gainsville (and it's college educated population) is why Alachua seems blue - but once you step outside of Gainsville, it is definately 'Deliverance' country.

18. Alachua is only blue because of the college students. |
|
It's also a rather wretched hive of the worst the Republicans have to offer.
And...uh...Go Gators and stuff.

a country run by a hard-core full-fledged dictatorship. That's the only way someone like her could ever be rehabilitated. She doesn't appreciate being American at all. In fact she mocks it continuously. She is disgusting.

21. The first amendment is the reason she gets to say all the |
|
silly childish things she says. Yes, Ann, lets do away with the first amendment and see how quickly your career goes down the toilet when you can't shock the public with your foul mouth anymore.
Why do these people think that doing away with our basic rights will not be a problem for them? Do they think they'll be exempt?

23. The right no longer wishes to tolerate tolerance |
|
They are tired of having their intolerance being sited as a short coming. They see their rejection of things they believe to be evil to be their strength. Yet they are called racist, bigots, and all sorts of other epithets.
It boils down to something has to give. Either they catch up with the rest of the world or the bring everything down in flames. Guess which path they are opting for.
