Who else is having trouble focusing today?
I woke up this morning and leapt out of bed - "it might be Fitzmas" I thought.

Brushed my teeth, made some coffee, sent the kids off to school, and turned on the computer and television. DU, Kos, Rawstory... nothing new.

CNN, MSNBC... nothing.

Tried to watch Washington Journal - DLC idiot on - could barely focus. Trying to occupy my mind with other threads on the Greatest Page - they are barely registering.

Baked a cake, breakfast bread and cornbread yesterday. Made a huge pot of chili.

Dusted everything there is to dust, vacuumed the entire house, cleaned the playroom.

I am going to scream if I don't hear something soon... someone, please, talk me down...

2. This is the funniest thing...I'm in the same boat but I have
to go to work today. No TV, no radio. Small company, new temporary job. I can't even talk about it, don't know political leanings of boss and others. Can't stand it!!!!! Go Fitz!

6. My situation is like yours except my job is more permanent, but the
company is small and its hard to say what peoples feelings are because they tend to keep that kind of stuff out of work.

Good luck with job and hopefully we will not have to wait to much longer for an announcement on Fitzmas.

10. can you peek in on DU from time to time
blessedly, the powers-that-be here are changing GD to Fitzmas only, so a quick look will tell you if it has happened.

5. the funny thing is, I am "neat" but not "a cleaner" so there was
lot's of dust that I usually only get to once or twice a year. But I HAD to do something constructive with all my nervous energy. Someone on this board suggested deep cleaning as a remedy for Fitzmas jonesing - so I complied.

9. good for you. i am not too hard on myself seeing that i spend
everyday doing the neat, lol. picking up and putting away. to get to a clean is challenging in and of itself. but......does feel like cleaning time to last thru holidays. getting decorations going halloween, then thanksgiving then christmas.

i have inlaw coming in two weeks, my cleans get done then. thankfully someone comes every couple two three months.

lollol

bad. lol. i wonder about people that have spotless houses. dont fully trust them. oh and those that have dr pepper for breakfast, not coffee

13. me, too on the picking up every day
It is enough to do that! I can't imagine doing more on a regular basis. It is a joke in my house that having company a few times a year is good, otherwise we would never "clean" clean!!

18. OMG! My kids would die laughing if they were here!
They know - don't touch a thing, once the company comes and settles in for 1/2 hour, all bets are off - have fun and make a mess again.

That is SOOO funny. Thanks for breaking the tension for me this morning. I thought I was the only one like that! High fivin' ya right back.

4. I'm with ya!
About to go do piles of laundry while I flip back and forth between CNN and MSNBC.

I wish I knew definitively if today is the day. If it isn't, I have some outside work I've been putting off.

7. I am wired so can't help
it's 3:30 here and your day is just starting, I have to wait until 1 o'clock to listen to WJ, and it was crap this morning, if the indictments come out by the time the evening news comes on it's after midnight here. Can't get motivated to clean, wish I could find somebody to do it for me, and the baking it sounds good, but can't get motivated in that field either, just a news junkie, and its making me nuts.

11. I am sanding down a 90" oak table and four chairs....
So far, it's taken a couple of days..

once I'm done, I'm refinishing it. That's what I'm doing with my nervous energy!

It's tedious, but when you listen to excellent tunes, break for (DU updates OFTEN)... it helps.

28. I am also cleaning up a storm too...
...and cooking as well.

I"m trying to keep busy. It's excruciating.

My sense is (and this is just a guess) is that any Fitz announcements would be made in the early morning. I'm guessing it's not today...so maybe tomorrow?

Yesterday, I actually baked a strata. Who bakes strata?

I'm thinking of baking some Halloween cookies today, for the kids to decorate tonight.

And I soooo relate to the cleaning thing. I try to keep things picked up, but with two kids--it's fruitless. I spend an hour cleaning and they spend 10 seconds bringing the it back to its original messy state.

The thing is...you can't "clean" until everything is "picked up" and I rarely get out of the "picking up" stage.

Also, I worry about people who constantly have a clean house. I mean really. It's not normal. I think it's almost impossible to achieve that kind of cleaning level. Those people must be uber obsessive and constantly yelling at their kids. Or else...their household runs much more smoothly than mine.

Sorry about rambling. I do it when I'm waiting for indictments to come down.

Ahhhhhh!
