Why should anyone on Bush staff and inner circle fear his wrath?
They all know they are smarter than he is and they can't really have that much honest respect for the guy. The wrath of someone you really have no respect for should matter little. In fact, they should be angry with GW for being such a fool.

1. Show fear
or lose your job. Not respect-survival.

It is that way when your boss is a bully.

3. This has more to do with power
Although I agree, generally when there is lack of respect the wrath really loses its sting, but with * I have the feeling he likes striking at people he has power over.

4. Idiot or not, he's still the boss
And if you cross him, the consequences can be staggering. Just ask Richard Clarke.

5. Because he's a vengeful, sociopathic alcoholic ...
... and a MEAN SOB. Not a nice mixture of personality traits.

6. If they didn't need Bush, they wouldn't be there.
People who have power and money = Bush contributors.

People who want power and money = Bush staffers.

7. Reminds me of that NY Daily News story
from yesterday. The one where bush was supposedly stomping around the white house chewing out low level staffers as well as top aides including cheney. That where my bullsit detector clicked big time. Can you imagine bush giving cheney a ration of shit? When I read that it made the whole story less believable.

8. He was petulant during the 2000 campaign. Remember those stories...
of him pitching fits if someone took his peanut butter sandwich?

9. You may not respect a terrorist but he can still kill you
All you need to know is Bush* wields great power whether you respect him or not. Like a terrorist he can still make people cry...
