Wow; how long has Conyers been in politics?
Facing regular threats and having lost her department store job because of her activism, Parks moved from Alabama to Detroit in 1957. She later joined the staff of U.S. Rep. John Conyers, a Michigan Democrat.

So, Rosa Parks helped John Conyers in the early 60's? Wow; that's a long career. :)

1. Staying power.
That's what we need in our next Democratic President.

4. I share the same alma mater with Mr. Conyers, and had the pleasure ...
... of living in his district when I lived off-campus while completing my undergraduate degree. His reputation is outstanding among ordinary people in his district - one of our country's best repesentatives for forty years.

5. And he even made Nixon's Enemies list!
I'd consider it an honor to be on the list!

Nice to see there are still a few true Democrats these days.

6. Yeah - I couldn't believe that. - I mean it is amazing that he worked
with her or she with him. And she must have been in her early 70s when she retired.
