Words/Phrases in the Republican Lexicon that REALLY chap your ass.
My favorite:

"misspoke"

Frist misspoke when he said he owned no stock in HCA, even though records show he had just made $50,000 by owning HCA stock.

(as compared to)

Martha Stewart lied about selling her shares of Imclone stock via insider information.

So which Republican words and phrases really irritate you?

1. Every stupid statement every Republican makes:
Is "taken out of context", whether it has been or not, Bill o'Reily is notorious for this, even though there are tons of footage of him being stupid at the Media Matters website.

"Ownership society"
"axis of evil"
"Freedom is on the march"

14. Heard that a LOT lately.
Yeah, Republicans have criminalized politics. I can't recall any era in history in which the Senate Majority Leader, the House Majority Leader, and the administration were ALL under investigation for completely seperate cases of corruption and conspiracy.

They've done a good job and being criminal politicians.

35. Another fav....
When a Repuke sticks his or her foot in their mouth and says something really stupid, they bring out the classic:

"I was quoted out of context."

3. bush misspoke
when he said brownie was "doin a heckuva job."

As a veteran, one of the favorite one's I like to toss back in their dipshit faces (in various forms of below):

"I would join the military but the troops need my support here."

9. Yes--the latter...
"My son won't go to Iraq because his education is more important."

Translates to:

Just send the poor black kids over there. They're expendable.

(HEY BOSS! When's Acme opening back up? I'm dyin' for an oyster plate!)

29. Hi Maddy
Check out:

http://www.nomenu.com/RestaurantsOpen.html

for New Orleans open restaurants. Acme isn't listed yet but Tom Fitzmorris is keeping track. Many restaurants are up and running with limited menus. I haven't been to the quarter yet, but I'm pretty patient. It won't be long.

6. "We are a Christian Nation"
I have know idea what this is supposed to mean.

I should say i am a Christian, but calling us a Christian nation is usually a subtle way of saying non-Christians can go to hell.

when we suggest, oh, maybe bazillionaires don't need another massive tax cut.

Yep, that's it. WE'RE the ones waging class warfare.

How dare we not support the Extremely Wealthy's right to rape and pillage the country even more while working people can't pay rent or medical bills?

18. I wish Dems would just plainly point these things out.
On television, when a Republican says someone "misspoke" about something, I wish the Dems would simply devote their entire response to pointing out that "misspoke" is con-man talk for "lied", and that the fellow who just said it is a paid con-man.

Period. Just like that. You'd win a hell of alot more people over that way than by accepting the weak excuse and offering another reasoned response.

27. Soros (or anybody) is an extreeeeemist liberal leftist
Here's a clue. Extremist leftists are dead. There are no commies anymore. We are the mainstream of America, like the 60% who want us out of Iraq.

...or the meme that George Soros funds anything and everything, especially Media Matters. Oh'Really says that a lot.

28. Mostly the general key phrases....
"I look forward to...." (as, amid the trembles, Bush cowers behind the curtain of incompetence.)

"I am confident that...." (...that the thug squad will take over, and I will no longer have to deal with this again)

"I urge..." (...whether he is talking to Congress, the UN or the American people....it just a euphemism for...I will bully you until you see it my way)

"I appreciate that..." ( means that's the last time you will ever hear it.)

"The American people want..." (I know no one will verify this...so, the American people want whatever I tell them they want...he..he...he...he...)

Any others?
