Still can't get used to NO being N.O.; thought that it was an emphatic "no hurricane survivors hit", which struck me as an odd sentiment.

Yes, kind of sad.

Remember last year's human interest story about the newlywed couple - wedding postponed because of one hurricane, scheduled for a different city two weeks later, postponed by another one, finally got married and honeymood interrupted by a third one.

Kind of makes you want to just give up on the gulf.
