RIP NY Times. Long live Washington Post? |
|
I hate to say it, but I no longer think of the NY Times as the paper of record. I personally think that the Washington Post now has that distinction.

They do seem to cover more truth than the Times lately though.

Once the Grey Lady, the example set for all print journalism to follow. Now it probably doesn't even make decent toilet paper.

Where's there's tons of money to be made, there's fat old white guys in Brook's Brothers suits figuring out ways to make more of it. And you can bet there is at least one person, probably more, at the WP on the White House's payroll. They're just smarter than the idjits at the NYT, and realize when to throttle back so as not to look too obvious.

The Times might be so much trash for the most part, but its still a far sight better than the Post. I mean, they did have sense enough there to hire Paul Krugman.
The problems with the Post, though, are more subtle and insidious: a bad case of beltway-insiderism.
