My Indictment Prediction (with a Challenge)

Here are the two plausible scenarios:

A) No indictments (the Bushies were just too slippery)

B) Indictments limited to the following:

I. Lewis Libby - 1 count: Perjury
I. Lewis Libby - 1 count: Obstruction of Justice

That's it. Period.

If any more indictments come down, I will use the following as my signature line for TWO months:

"I was an idiot for being wrong about the Plame Investigation."

Fitzgerald has had to go before a number of judges in the past 2 years and all of them have been impressed with the evidence he has accumulated.

If he had nothing, he would have called this off already. He's way too professional to do otherwise.

Nobody but Fitz, Fitz staff, and the GJ knows what's going to happen. There are wild rumors running all over the place.

My prediction is that many predictions will be wrong. I also predict that we're going to be in for quite a ride, regardless of what happens.

The only other prediction I'll make is that somebody's gonna be indicted and that somebody may be more than one person. This prediction may also be wrong. (Pshaw! I tried to make it an easy one.)

I really do not think we have sufficient facts to go any further than that. And Fitz ain't tellin' anybody anything.

I never did quite get the arguments that the website pointed to indictments. It could just as well provide documents that justify the course of the investigation.

I think Libby flipped, in which case he will have already made a deal, hence no indictment for Libby. I see Rove, Hadley, Bolton, Cheney, and with any luck at all Condi, too. Last time I looked, lying to Congress and the American People to justify invading a sovereign nation, that was not a threat to the US, qualified as a High Crime or Misdemeanor.

My personal take on all this is the entire Bushie Junta is going down in flames. The cabal made the fatal mistake of fucking with the CIA. They really should have known better. And now they're about to pay the price for their treachery.

I say good riddance.

But that's just me.
