Richard Clarke: Forgotten? Not by me.
I decided to re-read "Against All Enemies," and just read the part last night where Wolfowitz, Bush, et al are focused solely on Saddam and Iraq immediately after 9/11. That account was crucial in connecting the dots. The media forgot about him, and wouldn't you love to hear an interview now to see what he has to say about Plamegate, or should I say Iraqgate? There are others, but Clarke is my hero, thank you very much.

1. A Caller asked Malloy as to whether Clarke testified before the GJ
last night.

Does anyone know if he's involved at all?

3. His name came out somewhere as a friend of Judith Miller. Hope
he reevaluates that one.

6. I'm with you on that one.
The Judy Miller thing is appalling, and not just because they got caught.

9. Supposedly he visited her in jail
that doesn't necessarily mean it was a 'friendly' visit?

8. His attack on Bush admin was critical in helping establish the sense
of the administrion as not being forthcoming concerning their ulterior motives, with, if not the general public, then the people who count. He has not been forgotten.

10. They talked a little about (I think) a new book this morning on
NPR.

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4973276

If I understood them correctly, there will be a more extensive interview tomorrow afternoon. ...Yep.

October 26 · We talk with Richard Clarke about terrorism and homeland security. The former counterterrorism official has written his first novel, a thriller set five years in the future that envisions us on the verge of another war in the Middle East. (sounded good)

On the negative side, they're also putting some psycho on tomorrow morning who wants to create a world force to invade countries who displease us.

12. Clarke was on Franken's show today - great interview! Check
the Air America site to see if it's archived. Also, I'm sure Sundance will feature Clarke tonight in their excerpts from today's show.

Clarke did discuss the CIA Leak investigation in detail as well as his new book, The Scorpion's Gate.

13. He was on NPR this morning telling about his new novel which is
apparently about Iraq five years in the future. He said that fiction is a good way to get readers to project possibilities...not verbatim Clarke....just gist.

18.  I saw him on daytime tv yesterday hawking his new novel.
Good to see him out. He made a couple of his standing points about how we got from there to here. Always good to see him and here some truth.
