I think Hillary should come out and say she was wrong to support the war
and was mislead into it.

I really want her to be a leader and not a politician who just goes where the wind/money blows.

'Bush Lied, 2,000 Died'
New Yorkers take to the streets in protest of the war in Iraq

by Sarah Ferguson
October 27th, 2005 12:32 AM

...

And outside the offices of Senators Hillary Clinton and Charles Schumer, about 70 people gathered for an equally somber reading of the names of the U.S. fallen.

“We want to put pressure on both senators to come up with some kind of exit strategy and also demand that they hold the Bush administration accountable for misleading the country to war,” said Gary Weingarten, the owner of the Lower East Side bar Verlaine, who recently helped found a group called truthempowered.org to raise awareness about the Bush administration’s manipulation of intelligence to justify the war.

”It’s obvious Clinton is going to run for president in 2008, and she's been supporting the war because of that,” Weingarten added. “Does that mean she approves of these kind of tactics—of lying to your country to go to war?”

....more

YEAH!!!

6. On NPR tonight, when the reporters asked her about her vote,
she brushed them off like flies.

Senator Harkin (D-Iowa) says he regrets that vote the most of any he's cast.

7. She'd rather be a collaborator than a "flip-flopper".
She, and her fellow abbetors, have done the impossible..made the word "politician" even dirtier than it already was.

8. That assumes that she actually feels that she was wrong. I'm not so sure
that she does.

9. FLIP FLOP!
There's a risk of that - but I think people may have tired of that talking point.

13. Why not?
She'll say anything to anybody to get in the Oval Office, a flip from Hillary would be hardly surprising.

14. I agree! What does she have to lose? I doubt people would blame
her or other Dem's for being mislead and not being told the truth by the administration.

15. She has some significant financial support
from neo con sympathizers.

She is NOT good for the party on foreign policy issues.

16. It Would Be Flip-Flop City
Hillary lost her chance to be true to her convictions (if she ever had any). I thought we were tired of pols saying whatever was politically expedient. That approach is, can you spell L O S E R?

If we want to back the right approach, the model of principled consistency is Wes Clark.
