Ha! I Just Got A Great Visual In My Mind About Plamegate
It's Bill Murray in Caddyshack...the scene where the priest grabs him to act as his caddy. As the Bill is being pelted by torrential rain, the preist asks if they should play on, to which Bill replies, "I don't think the hard stuff will be coming down for a while."

That kinda reminds me of the RW apologists saying that Plamegate is nothing to worry about...
