Keith "O" came up with a New Excuse Tonight about how Cheney "Outed
a Covert Agent."

Is this new "excuse valid?" Keith postulated that Cheney said to Tenant..."How Come Wilson was chosen to go to Niger...and Tenant said.."because Wilson's Wife works at the CIA." And...Cheney "innocently passed on that Information to CIA...i.e....THEY didn't KNOW that Plame/Wilson was "really" a CIA Agent, Undercover.." :eyes:

Help me on this...

2. Classified Top Secret Need to Know Report
Mentioning Mrs. Wilson. That means, DON'T TELL. That was the report Colin Powell mentioned.

KO knows it's crap.

3. What?
Why would tenant say something like that about someone he new was under cover? Its highly unlikely he would say something about an agent and not say that she was undercover.

4. You really think that Cheney didn't ask about any details?
This spin is ridiculous. Let's wait for the indictments.

KO speculated that they might have talked to reporters to discredit Wilson, and then might have found out that they had outed an agent, and started lying to cover up the outing.

14. Yeah...but it leaves out all the PNAC/NEOCON stuff and the Selection 2000
and the rest that all our folks have been working on for years!!!

It kind of boils it down to an "OOPS!" We were just caught with our pants down so we did what we had to to protect the President.

We know from reading our other liberal bloggers that they were just dying for an "EXCUSE" to give the Right Wing to defend them.

It seemed to me that Keith just handed them their "BIG EXCUSE?"

Well it seemed to ME that way. :eyes:

6. They know the rules.

Nothing was said in innocence. As much time as Cheney spent at the CIA (to bend intelligence) - he knew exactly what he was doing by dropping her name.

His motive for it was to silence Joe Wilson because he (Joe) knew the Niger document was forged and knew Iraq did not try to obtain yellow cake.

The WH may try to use that excuse, but it's not valid.

7. LOL, won't wash, the CIA were the one that requested the investigation
into the leak of the name of one of their covert agents.

8. It's BS but it sounds about right in terms of
what we can expect. It's probably unrealistic (hope I'm wrong) to expect a trip all the way down the rabbit hole.

At the end of the day MSNBC signs KO's paycheck.

15. Don't assume Keith EVER says anything because MSNBC tells him to.
Naah. At best he will play devil's advocate in the interest of fairness. I think that's what he was doing tonight--trying to think of some way, cockamamie as it might be, to explain how "they might not have known." I'm not so sure he believed it himself.

9. Think about it
This is the same "team" that so meticulously set up CBS and Dan Rather, that knew every nuance of the TANG papers, that had right-wing bloggers at the ready, etc.

These bastards do not say "boo" without first knowing how many people will scream, and for how long.

We ALL know that Cheney knew, and that Libby knew, and that Bush knew. This is their M.O., and all they had on their minds was retribution.

Remember how many times Cheney, Bolton, etc. went to the CIA, a practice that was noted even then as being "highly unusual."

The $64 question is, of course - can Fitz prove it. Maybe not with this grand jury, and maybe not now, but can he prove it.

11. How is this going to help them?
I do not understand how they expect this to help them. It's stupid anyway. It's a clear falsehood. When they get to trial, the jury is only going to consider evidence. Spin is not acceptable, is it?

Oh, but how could they be so stupid to out a secret agent!?
For God's sake, people, they are out to change the world
by the force of war. Cheney and these other fuckers didn't
know she was undercover? *sad headshaking thingy*
