This offends me in a huge way--not just because I am NOT a racist idiot, but because my daughter is currently going to a school that is primarily black...she is doing very well and getting along OK and has many friends-- but every time BS like this plays in the media there's a drama over it and blowback to the white kid that wasn't raised to wear a klan hood and has no role in this garbage...Not that there shouldn't be drama when this disgusting display occurs, but it's embarrassing and infuriating to have to be even suspected of this type of thing just because we are white--we raised our daughter to see people not skin color and she is turning out to be the little person who does this without hesitation.

When in the world are PEOPLE (white people esp) going to call it a day and stop this bullshit?

I am white and work primarily in the black community -- I SOMETIMES get the initial dirty looks and occasionally I get some flack but once the people I deal with understand that I don't have my head up my wazoo there is a whole different attitude.

Why is there so much freaking fear over skin color?
