Is this the bitter end of the "new right" / "Reagan revolution"? Or is it
just a bump on the road?

1. DeLay. Frist. Rove. Cheney. Libbey.
To quote ol' Dick, I think we're seeing the death throes of the Reagan Right Turn.

2. If the truth comes out, it's the end of the new right, or the beginning
of our new fascist military government.

3. The beginning of the biggest legal fight this country has ever seen...
But, at last, it's a fight.

4. Bump in the road.
The right has a fanatical 35% of the population locked up. Until the Democrats offer a clear and believable alternative, the Repugs can get the other 15% they need to win elections (plus, they control the voting machines which always helps).

5. These things only tend to last 25-30 years so we are near the end.
Very rarely does a political trend last all that long. The Democratic ascendancy was from 1930-1966(1966 marked a true turning point) and the Republican ascendancy really began in 1968 and kicked into high gear with Raygun of course. It's hard to find the exact point of the beginning of a real Republican trend, but regardless it is nearing its end.
