Simultaneously, he's packing clothing and toiletries into a large suitcase; his wife is on the land line to Air Argentina, buying him a one-way ticket, in case he can't raise $5 million by 7:00 am tomorrow.

Unbeknownst to Karl, his cell phone will stop working in 8 minutes, as the the prodigous quantities of sweat running off the top of his head will short out the delicate electronic circuits.

A picture of his family, taken during happier times, goes on top of a curly black wig and the bottle of glue for the fake moustache. The suitcase is zipped shut; his wife gives him a nod and the silent "thumbs up" that his plane ticket is confirmed for 8:27 am tomorrow.

Life as he knows it is about to change very, very dramatically for Karl.
