Mr. President, Snap Out of It!

I have long felt that one of the things about President Bush that has so bothers the political Left is that he doesn’t panic. When the planes struck the towers on September 11th, 2001, President Bush was reading to school children in Florida. The fact that he didn’t throw the book in the air and storm out of the room, arms flailing wildly, was a source of extreme anxiety for liberals. They even made a movie about it.

Later, as the Afghan war dragged into its third week (!) and liberals were screaming “quagmire!” and “Vietnam!” President Bush kept his cool. Same goes for “the worst economy since Hoover.” Bush cut taxes, kept his cool and guess what? Things worked out pretty well. Then came Iraq, with even shriller shouts of “quagmire!” 1,000 dead. 2,000 dead. Bush hasn’t freaked out yet. The reward? Iraqis just voted to approve a constitution.

With all this going on and Bush as cool as a cucumber, it’s clear that President Bush is either oblivious to reality or he has nerves of steel. You can guess where the liberals fall on that question. As for me, I’ve always thought Bush’s unwillingness to panic was rather, well, rather presidential.

Nevertheless, I think it’s time to hit the panic button. Unlock the briefcase, punch in the code, and hit the button. The GOP is in rough shape. It’s time to panic.

obviously failed to grasp the situation"

2. No, H-bomb--I believe it's time for YOU to "snap out of it" and realize

Shrub's so-called "presidential" lack of panic was complete and utter lack of interest.

4. I think it's that he hasn't a clue what to do so he just acts stunned, not
that he is unpaniced...(if there is such a word.)

Presidential with that doofus who was staring into space for 7 minutes. I wouldn't call panicking a good idea either. How about a response? The goddam "presidential" thing to do would have been to get on the phone and take command. He is supposed to be the commander is he not? Well the commander ran away and hid.. wussie that he is.

I will give this poster credit for having a sense of humor, even if he is ignorant as hell...

7. One thing I find endearing about these Bush diehards
Is that the alternatives on 9/11 in their view were apparently:

a) Keep reading to kids, then stare blankly at them for twenty minutes

b) Panic, screaming and yelling and perhaps scrawling "We're all gonna die!" in apocalyptic letters on the chalkboard and then running out.

I suppose calmly telling the children that there was important business you had to attend to as the president and exiting the room without fanfare is something "no one could have imagined"?

9. I think he does panic, which then paralizes him...His inaction is probably
a result of total panic.

10. The US needs a good divorce lawyer.
And this dumb fuck poster’s side should not get custody of the nuclear football codes. Nuclear bombs were not designed or intended to save reputations of any person or political party. They were designed to destroy. Not just today, but for far beyond the poster’s great, great, great, (no need to belabor the point) grandchild’s life expectancy.

Good grief.

This stupid MF is willing to destroy, no, annihilate the lives of some people that he doesn’t specify, but is willing to do it because some GOP members have been called out for their corruption, cronyism and/or treason. Thank God, these crimes didn’t involve an extramarital blowjob. We might have to test that Star Wars defense on the poster’s GOP maligning targets.

So back to the separation agreement… The Kurds should get the north, the Shiah should get the south and the Sunnis should be really nice and accept that they are getting a crappy deal because they were abusive, controlling and just plain stupid during the entire relationship

Red and blue states are no different, but they could still be purple. So that means that our purple children will have to suffer when we go our separate ways. How much do you want to bet that our red state babies will come crying back to their blue state benefactors if this ever transpired?

Of course, I’m assuming that the poster would not launch nuclear devices here. Um… is that poster aware that nuclear devices can still be launched back at us? Those would hit every color of the rainbow wherever they hit and that retaliation would pretty much make the poster’s life miserable if not entirely insignificant.

What is so sad is that the poster's life is probably already that insignificant that they would even go there in the first place. America (US) at large has a problem at home, but under the uniting leadership of GWB they are looking for scapegoats abroad rather than addressing US foreign and domestic policy that could make this a better world for people.

Instead the great “uniter” (not a real word, but another imagined one from you know who) has tipped his hat to the corporations whose lust for profit will eventually destroy themselves when they have nobody left to work for them. Hello Harvard MBAs! What do we do when there IS no work force left to bleed?

Can you say, “Nat Turner rebellion?”

Before that happens, we either need a real unifier or a good divorce lawyer to separate the goods.

Then he ran and he ran. He didn't even go to NY until Hillary was going to show him up.
