So what do you think the general public knows right now? We |
|
have a distinct advantage, the DU advantage, we have been on this for, depending on who you are either days, weeks, months or years...but the average citizens knows what? How informed would you say they are? I was just thinking about this and my guess is they know very little to nothing because they are too absorbed in their own little lives. Ouch. That sounds harsh I know. Nothing wrong with having a life...that's not my point. I am curious about what their level of knowledge is on any of these serious matters.
What do you think?

1. I find them uneasy - and with unspecified awareness of trouble |
|
Pretty much everywhere I go, if at all possible, I bring up the subject. I ask: are you aware of the White House cleaning that's about to start? I find varying degrees of fragmentary information, I find ** supporters who are questioning and listening (red state here) and not just dismissing me. It's nice to be able to come from the strength of the numbers and being able to claim mine is the majority opinion, nice not to have to take the "you lost get over it" crap any more.
I find people willing to question the war as a lie, and from that I take them to that the elections were, as well.
It's a new day, and the dawning is all around me. With that dawning comes anger, forming under the surface, like a hurricane developing somewhere out at sea.

4. How do you begin these conversations? How good of you to do |
|
so.
You are right about the anger, when people "get it" it's infuriating.

definitely know about it. They don't have all the details (or the rumors), but they know the basics. Of course I'm talking about people who tend to read a little Internet news and try to stay informed, not people who just tune it out.

6. I'm not exactly sure how much the general public knows about it....... |
|
.......since I don't consider myself to be a part of the general public.
I admit, in 2003 this story seemed to confuse me since I didn't know much about it. All I knew was the few brief mentions it got on the news. Although I did know, even then, that it had the potential to be a big story.
Slowly I've started reading more and more info about it. And it really got my attention when it was revealed that Rove was Cooper's source. Since then, I've been reading everything I can find on this topic.

Most were assured that if dubby couldn't find the perp then there wasn't much to it. The media has been poo pooing the story for some time and that Plame was a desk jockey. I don't think most know the severity of it or the depths that dubco will go to protect their erroneous sources for the lead up to war. I'm also sure that some will write it off as politics as usual and repeat the both sides do it meme so as to remain in denial of the corruption that surrounds us. :freak:
