I'd be laughing too, if ...
A fundie emailed me the following:

"How can you not be impressed by this guy?"
http://gprime.net/video.php/presidentialspeechalist

The link pokes fun at *'s speech patterns.

This isn't somebody finally getting the truth, I think it is more "Ha. See. We can laugh at ourselves" and "Look at who we can get elected and the stupid liberals can't do anything about it". Maybe I'm being harsh but it rubbed me all wrong, so this was my response:

A man saw a crowd laughing uproariously at the antics of a fool. All
except for one person who stood apart with a somber expression. The
man went up to the one who wasn't laughing.
"Why aren't you laughing? This fool is hilarious."
"I would laugh", the man replied, " except that that fool is my son".

I too would find it humorous that a Democracy elected a person who
among other flaws seems to be suffering from a degenerative neural
disorder, except that it's the country I live in, that person is the
leader of the current most powerful country in the world, and he's
presided over a failed, ill-planned war started on false premises; a
surplus turned into a record-breaking deficit; economic policies which
favor the rich and crush the poor and which are leading to the demise
of the middle-class; environmental policies which trash the
environment; cronyism and incompetency in all levels of government
leading to such disasters as the aftermath of Katrina; and the
dramatic drop in United States' international standing and prestige.]

Now I see that I forgot to mention the erosion of our civil liberties.

In Malloy's words: "Republicans! I hate them!"

1. If they want to applaud Bush
for being the village idiot....
that's their own business.

Isn't it amazing how such an idiot
can become president ???
