Rove was still unsure of his status.
The Washington Post reports that the White House "expects indictments to come today" but says Rove was still unsure of his status.

A little disappointment for me this a.m.

4. It makes me nervous that Fitz was still asking around about Rove
as late as yesterday.

5. RW radio started this spin yesterday:
If Rove is forced out of VP because of indictment, then Condi becomes VP and will be groomed for the '08 nomination. The guy (Ankarlo, the idiot that sent the bus of wingers to Crawford) thinks this might turn out good for them.

Unbelievable.

6. LOL, he's probably unsure because his deal with the prosecutor
has not yet been wrapped up. Media is reporting Fitzgerald met with Luskin, Rove's lawyer. Hmmmmm, to finalize a deal re Rove's cooperation or to notify him of forthcoming indictments? Either way, I suspect Rove is not having as good a morning as I am, lol.

9. The Rumors Are Sprouting Rumors
Welcome to the feeding frenzy. The chatter from the lawyers are deafening. Each is playing out their case in the papers in hopes Fitzgerald will somehow target his probe at someone else and leave his/her client alone.

I love this uncertainty as it means Fitzgerald's investigation has been as secret and thorough as possible.

Now if Rove et al didn't have anything to worry about, they surely wouldn't be sweating right now, would they???

11. All things considered, Mr. Rove
I'd say your status will soon be "fresh meat." You will be bartered for a pack of cigarettes, and not a good brand like Marlboro or Camel, but something like Basic Value. But both parties will initially feel like they got a good deal.

Any other questions about your status, Mr. Rove?

13. Hello? He's "unsure" because the Grand Jury hasn't indicted him yet.
I'd bet big money he's receieved a target letter or the equivalent.

If the GJ doesn't indict, he doesn't have to admit he's ever been a target.
