Well at least they're using it. Better than letting it sit in a warehouse

3. My son's in Broward County and
the distribution points are very chaotic with thousands of angry people waiting HOURS. Gas for generators and propane for grills have run out long ago, and this is only Day 3.

No electric or water pressure x millions of people, it's going to deterioate rapidly each day, and I'm glad he sent his wife and the twins to her mom'm in Jacksonville to get out of the "war zone". He's very worried about security right now.

4. I love ya, xultar, but I gotta hide this thread.
If I don't, I'm going to go ballistic. My family had NO ICE for four days. Four fucking days. And when we finally got ice, it was from the chicken packing company in town, and not from fucking FEMA.

Goddam don't get me started. Ok, I'm not going to hide the thread. I'm going to try to be an adult--a very angry adult.

Oh, and while I'm ranting, let me tell you....while we stayed at the fire station during the day during the hurricane, it never failed that two or three people each day would come by and beg for ice to keep their relative's insulin cold. It was a fucking sin, the way we were treated by FEMA and the feds.

Ok...end of my rant. :grr:

9. How much has that ice cost US taxpayers so far?
I'd love to see a GAO report on it.

13. And who gets that money? Halliburton?
I wouldn't be a bit surprised.

14. I think the bulk of it went to a travel agency,
They had ties to someone though.
