Fitzy's Press Conference scheduled for TOMORROW - but
Edited on Wed Oct-26-05 08:15 AM by meganmonkey
the information could likely be made known today, this is according to Springer.

He also made it sound like he thought they would do the press conference today anyway, but said it was 'scheduled for tomorrow'

Please don't make me wait another day!!!!

:bounce:

1. I hate to be greedy here, but
anybody else a little disappointed that the scuttlebutt is that there will be 1-5 indictments handed down? I was hoping for double digits at least

can name multiple people.

One indictment can cover many people
others posted about this last night. I can't remember the examples given, but the same indictment can be for several people...

Correct: Each indictment can have multiple counts too.
One should be looking at the number of named defendents and the number of counts, not the number of indictments.

8. There can be mulitple plantifs under each indictment
There was a thread on this yesterday afternoon in which someone explained it quite well; I'll see if I can find it. So one indictment can charge several people. So five indictments might reach far and wide, God willing.

11. I work for a Federal defense attorney
Let me give you a few samples from our case file.

One case has one indictment, and within that indictment were 10 co-defendants and there were a total of 27 counts.

Another example: one case, 3 indictments, 27 total co-defendants and well over 100 counts.

If these are all connected, one indictment could just about cover everyone.

3. Well if indictments are handed up today, would the arrests be
made today as well? Maybe that is why they might have to say something.

6. Josh Marshall said the same thing.
He had a source that says the press conference will be tomorrow. Take it for what it's worth.

12. Bush will be in Florida on Thursday
He will have to be out and about helping brother Jeb. Perfect opportunity for the media to catch him on camera.

I want to see if he can maintain a smirking facade.

17. I'm sorry, but Springer is the least informed AAR host IMO
He either states the obvious over and over, discusses what everyone here has known for two years as though it were a novel idea, or he talks out of his ass, as I suspect this comment reflects today. He needs to hire some top notch staffers if he is going to continue doing other things and not devote himself totally to the issues IMO. He does a good job bringing in those who might not listen to other AAR shows, but I find him difficult to listen to becase he is so very ill informed and often naive. Sort of like listening to your very earnest 8 yo relay the news day in and day out.

My opinion only....no offense to the OP intended.

26. The indictments are suppose to be sealed.
So we may know how many of them there are today but we won't get all the details until tomorrow.
