Rumsfeld To Profit From Bird Flu Hoax

http://www.mercola.com/2005/oct/25/rumsfeld_to_profit_from_avian_flu_hoax.htm

Since Rumsfeld holds major portions of stock in Gilead, he will handsomely profit from the scare tactics of the government that is being used to justify the purchase of $2 billion of Tamiflu.

1. Bird flu _is_ a scare right now, but I don't think hoax is appropriate
The World Health Organization and health officers in governments around the globe really do believe there is _potential_ for Avian flu to develop into a very dangerous flu pandemic.

4. Maybe so...
But saying it's an Gov hoax to sell Tamiflu is recockulous.

If anything, the news about the coming flu pandemic is far more out front in the rest of the world than here at home.

The people most susceptible to death from this next Flu, as any, are the old, weak, and poor (because they wont get the drug). Seems like a good budget control situation for Bushco. Millions of old and poor deaths in America will get them one step closer to destroying government support for those very people who need it.

I know several doctors and they all say not if, but when.... period.

When it does hit, who do you think will get all the Tamiflu? People like my middle class, healthy ass will because I can afford it. The elitist fucks in the WH will not subsidize this drug for the people who will really need it when the flu hits. That wont be a conspiracy, it will just happen because that's how our current health system works.

5. Many of the deaths from during the 1918 flu pandemic ...
were healthy adults with good immune systems. The virus triggered an immune response that went into overdrive, actually killing the host. The demographic chart for deaths looked like a W, instead of a U (which is what you get when deaths hit the very young and very old.

Google "cytokine storm" for more details.
