Why Fitzgerald may know a lot more than even we suspect. |
|
Theory with a bit of wishful thinking:
Talked with my folks last night and we started to discuss the CIA leak story when they mentioned that many high level senior personnel at the CIA had left disgruntled after Porter Goss was installed and blame for "intelligence failures" was focused directly on them...a little detail I had not thought about in a while.
After I hung up I started to think what if these former CIA people were either subpoenaed or took it upon themselves to meet with Fitzgerald under the radar to discuss details of Brewster-Jennings and possibly other related secret operations and what happened in the inner sanctums of Langley in the run up to war.
If this is true, Fitzgerald may hold a treasure trove of damning information that hasn't even been considered by DU or the media yet implicating many more people than expected and possibly making the charge of treason a very real possibility.
Discuss?

It's unclear how wide the investigation will end up going. We obviously would like as wide an investigation as possible; but i don't know how much we can legitimately expect. That's why I try to stay away from all of the rumors that's been going on the past month.

4. I have been saying that there are certain "keys" to this investigation |
|
and those keys could be: Powell, Ari or any EX CIA that may have felt like they needed to get something off of their chests. I have been hoping and banking on these ex CIA people to come through and not let their country down.
Think about it, most of these people LOVE their country and are/were married to the idea that they would try to do everything in the world to try and preserve the moral integrity of Gov. and how it runs itself. It is a well known fact that there has been a war of sorts going on in DC between the neocons and the old school government types(Ex CIA) and other departments. So this theory works really well and is one of the most logical.
So it would be no surprise, in fact I almost expect that what you theorized up top has happened and is one if the "keys" to this.
 I'm ready and waiting.

5. Either way, you hope the FBI agents |
|
that are being sent into the field for last minute interviews are doing their job and are truthful and loyal to our country -- NOT in the pockets of the administration.

6. If they love their country like those of us who've slogged here on the |
|
Internet and out in the streets trying to get attention to these criminals since Selection 2000 then I think you are correct. I know how many of us would do anything to expose these people for ruining what we had in America and our ideals, illusions about how our Constitution was "supposed" to work.
It does seem even Bush's own Poppy is having some problems with what's going on given the revelations from former members of his team about where Cheney and Rove and Chimp are taking us.
I hope this will be true that Fitz knows it all...but we've been disappointed so many times, it's hard to have complete faith that more than a bit will come out and it will come out slowly for years.
I wish Fitz would blow it all out...sky high...but don't think that the country could take it all at once. So...he will be cautious.
Fingers crossed.

7. I count myself squarely in the camp of "don't expect too much," but... |
|
I see this as a real possibility. If so, we could be very surprised at the outcome.

9. No doubt Fitzgerald knows more than we do |
|
He can force access.
What I hope he knows is that there was a conspiracy to lie the country into a war and that Plamegate is an attempt to cover up THAT conspiracy.
