Condi meets with Natalie Holloway's mom

Last night I was channel surfing, and although I make a point of avoiding Faux, I was snagged by Greta Van Sustern discussing with Natalie Holloway's mother the fact that Condoleeeza Rice had recently met with her regarding the case of her missing daughter.

Natalie's mom, who said she was confident Condi would do all she could to help in the case, was even invited to ride in the motorcade with Condi and attend church with her. Greta reported that Condi had been to Aruba in June, looking into the case.

Maybe getting involved in such cases is Condi's duty as Secretary of State, but I still find it odd.

That it would be in her job description being the Sec of State, but if it wasn't such a high profile case, wouldn't you think it would be taken care of by a much junior member of the State Dept.

Honestly, I sympathize with Natalie Holloway's family. But, JHC!!! What is it about these people that they get priviledged promotion from the media to the point it involves the direct intervention by the US Secretary of State!

8. Not that I much like Condi, but, yes, this is part of her job.

Think of it this way: if my ex-husband were to kidnap our son and take him back to his native Jordan even though I have full custody, I would hope the State Department would intervene on my behalf.

Heaven knows Bill Frist never tried to protect my boy when there actually was a threat and I, as a constituent, tried to get him to. :eyes:

she has been confirmed. Guess she's been busy.

the illegal war in Iraq but the Secretary of State finds the time to meet with the mother of a missing daughter who may have been murdered by the three men she chose to cavort with?

This ought to tell you a lot about the priorities of this administration.
