question: can fitz delivery indictments AND extend the grand jury? |
|
or are indictments necessarily the last thing a grand jury does?
i would think that there would be many prosecutorial advantages to handing down indictments while still keeping options open on other charges and/or other targets.

We indicted at the end of our 6-month term, changed our name and kept going for 2-1/2 more years.

4. I don't think he can do both. I also do not think he's going to |

extend the GJ. Disturbing as the MSM is most of the time, they do have access to a lot better legal minds than mine. Last week they all were saying they didn't think Fitz was going to extend the GJ because he hadn't filed any requests yet.
I don't know anything about these requests, but it sure sounded like he would have to allow a little time to get one authorized. Time is running out, the web site's up...naw, we'll hear something in the nest day or so.

it's reassuring to hear he can, I don't want to see a player slip the noose.

7. In other words, can we have our Fitzmas pudding, and eat it too? |
|
I'm guessing no. Because if there's one thing old sayings teach us, is that you can't "have" something and "eat" it at the same time!
