Let's back Condi for President - think about it
If we wanted to get underhanded, tit-fot-tat style, we should all push for a Condi candicacy. She'd be easily beaten by anyone the Dems would throw at her, and she'd have all that Bush Co baggage she'd have trouble defending.

Rebubs run a Bush Co neocon in 08 - best option for us.

2. How would she do among the old south voting block?
Edited on Wed Oct-26-05 11:09 AM by Lastlaughin08
I cannot imagine her getting southern republican votes being

1. a woman

or

2. a black.

but

3. both?

No way.

5. I don't know about that. My father in law (B** and Rush and Fox lover)
thinks he is being "cool and hip" supporting her. Like, "See I like black people"

10. Yeah, especially after she went shoe-shopping
when her people were drowning and suffering in the South. Add insult to injury: she went to a play, and I think she did some more self-indulgent fun things to do while hurricane Katrina battered her home state of Alabama.

Then, she had the gall to go down there and say that "Jesus will come if you just wait". What unmitigated nerve.

I say throw her out. Useless oxygen thief.

4. Let's not back her and say that we did...
After all, aren't Democrats supposed to be flip-floppers?!

:)

In any case, I couldn't support any * Administration member for dog catcher, let alone anything that actually matters.

8. she's not going to run
think about it. non-pol Clark has been running for 2008 non-stop since 2003. he's learning the craft. he's on TV being handsome & articulate.

Condi isn't learning shit. she's a sourpuss. she's single. there's no way in hell she could rouse a crowd, feign likeability, connect with "soccer moms". she could only run on fear.

maybe she could get the VP seat on a ticket. maybe. that is, if the GOP decides to commit suicide & run on the bush legacy instead of away from it.

12. I have a problem with it for these reasons
Set aside the fact that she is an evil piece of incompetent maggot shit.

But that is not what is going to be her downfall because Bush isn't any better than that either.

What would end up taking her down is the fact that she is a black woman. Pure and simple. I don't want to be part of a party that has a hand in anything like that. Racism IS rearing it's ugly head up again in this country and many would attempt to capitalize on that fact alone, and IMHO it is not the time to test these boundaries until we regain a civility in this country again.

Our Congressional Black Caucus has been doing outstanding work and carrying the load for the rest of the slackers in Congress. I would love to see Maxine Waters or Stephanie Tubb Jones or Shelia Jackson Lee or Eddie Bernice Johnson (to name a few of my favorites) get a nod at higher offices, but to end up sacrificing another black woman at the altar of racism is not how we lift these outstanding members up--it will be precisely how we tear them down.

13. "Some people call you racist rich white people...I call you my base."
I think this is a splendid idea. We should all back Condi for 2008.
