My guess..."The Brain" stays. The evil mastermind skulks off quietly.

I think Cheney is so fucking evil and nasty, that he really doesn't care about his Veep position. He never did. He's in it only for the money, and he's got that in spades now, thanks to the Halliburton contracts he arranged, which will NOT be cancelled, no matter what happens to Chimpy. Rove might actually have enough plausible deniability to escape serious damage, which would be a godsend to BushCo. If you remove the brain, the body just becomes a vegetable.

My prediction is that Cheney will gladly accept an indictment, and has probably already contacted anyone necessary to either threaten their lives or promise to come back from the grave to eat their children. He is just a nasty, sneering, evil fuckwad. Money is all that matters to him. He knows full well he won't actually serve any time. He'll accept his indictment as a badge of honor, and exit with a tapdance across the skulls of the dead in Iraq (thanks to Colbert for that imagery!), and a big, loud "FUCK OFF!" to America and the world.

He will retire to his damp, dark lair to count his money and calculate who can be killed next in the most cost-effective manner.

The Brain will be kept alive, so that the body can continue to function and to funnel more lucre to Oswald Cobblepot...er, Dick Cheney...and his dark empire of blood and oil.

2. Rove...
I'm sure that he is trying his best, to pull out one last trick/deception to protect himself (too late Karl), from Fitzgerald's investigation.

Cheney...Has no heart or soul. "He is a very bad man....a very bad man"

3. I disagree with you. If Rove gets off, it'll be because the little pig
sold other people out, not because he was clever. I also don't think Dick Cheney would fall on his sword for anybody.

4. Well, let's take a look at their value to this administration.
Rove is considered to be "Bush's brain" (what a joke).

Randi Rhodes has said that Cheney is the de facto president, and Rove has been the vice-president. Bush is just a mannequin, a hologram president. Can they do without either one? I say no.

They are both desperately needed. This cabal would stop functioning if either one of them were gone. So I think they will choose some other people to throw to the lions. Like Steven Hadley. Or Libby, maybe Tenet. There's a good choice! He's not even in the CIA any more.
