One of the letters printed in this Lahore newspaper. Looks like even the reasonable, westernized people in and around Iraq are losing faith in the US.
By "taking the fight to our enemies" we sure have created a lot more enemies!

LETTERS:
US barbarismSir: Why is there no media outrage at the Australian broadcast showing US troops setting fire to corpses of Muslims after a gun battle in southern Afghanistan? One of the US soldiers used the corpses to taunt local villagers. The film shows Sgt Jim Baker saying through a loudhailer, “You allowed your fighters to be laid down facing west and burned. You are too scared to come down and retrieve their bodies.” He described the militants as “cowardly dogs” and “lady boys”.
How many times will we have to witness these horrors before we wake up to the truth? The US wants us to believe that these are individual cases and not an official policy but Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo Bay, the taxi driver tortured to death in Afghanistan, the burnt corpses and many other incidents show that this behaviour is systematic.
In a world where the school bully makes the rules, who will bring the US to justice? The Muslims must wake up and defend themselves.
