1. Exactly
I've been out of work for several months. The job that I had was a pay cut for me, but it beat unemployment...I went from making $14.25/hr to 12.00/hr to $10.00/hr. The most recent unemployment check that I got came with a note that I should look for jobs paying $9.25/hr.

Make gas .99 a gallon again, and I might work for that. I live outside of Houston. I'm not driving 40 or more miles one way for $9.25/hr. I did it for $14.25 though.

2. I remember when there were plenty of jobs in Houston. I am in
Houston and I haven't been able to find any job for quite some time now (2 years +) There are no decent jobs.

3. There just aren't.
People want you to work like a dog for little pay and NO benefits. I've worked more than one temp to hire job that never hired. They didn't let me go, they just kept me as a temp for over a year, with no benefits.

4. Right. I know. Thing is I could always get Temp work and now
for the past 4 years there hasn't even been that. I registered with multiple agencies and still nothing.

5. Everytime bush makes a speech he says the economy is growing..
he gives no specifics because he dosen't know what the real world is going through. He is protected from knowing anything (like he wants to know anyway) he jumps on and off airforce one , going from city to city with these speechs they write for him, each one just the same with a little twist to make it seem like it fits the audience he is speaking to. What is he going to do when his term is over, the whole world hates him.How can these evilones keep getting away with not raising the minimum wage. I guess they haven't started feeling it yet in some parts of the country yet.I guess they will feel it when no one can buy their products anymore. It's time for all of these people to go, er..I mean demons. Everyone is beating around the bush everyone knows bush was involved with the Plame case.

6. economy
GW Hoover keeps whining that the economy is good, but anybody who's unemployed or underemployed knows it's not. Only the true Kool-Aid drinkers believe him. Jobs are so G-damned hard to find.
