Is Fitzgerald waiting for the markets to close?
Another post about the indictments and a potential slide of the dollar, as if that was not already the case, made me think about that.

4. Could be.
He's a smart man ... Surely he has a public relations staff by now. Waiting until after the markets close would be a responsible thing to do. And Fitzgerald does appear to be serious and responsible.

5. If he doesn't want to disturb markets why schedule news conf. tomorrow?
I think we are starting to reach to try to find meaning for absence of information.

9. I had not heard about the news conference tomorrow...
What time is it scheduled? Truthfully, like a child at Christmas, I am excited to hear the news, so not getting it today, is a big letdown. I really wanted Merry old Fritz Kringle to bring me my gifts!

10. don't think he cares about that
Hope he isn't having trouble getting the jury to indict all he wants.

Or could be waiting until jurors are safely out of the press frenzy.

Could also be working to have another jury empaneled over the Niger documents acoording to Kos. --

The probe is far from being at an end. According to this reporter's sources, Fitzgerald approached the judge in charge of the case and asked that a new grand jury be empaneled. The old grand jury, which has been sitting for two years, will expire on October 28.
Thanks to a letter of February, 2004 which Fitzgerald asked for and obtained expaneed authority, the Special Prosecutor is now in possession of an Italian parliament investigation into the forged Niger documents alleging Iraq's interest in purchasing Niger uranium, sources said.

11. I Think He Might Wait Til The Markets Close On Friday So .......
collectively America has a weekend to digest the gravity of the situation. Also gives investors a chance to breathe deep and not over-react. This sounds reasonable to me. I want the White Sox winning the World Series tonight to be a big story for at least one day.
