I think there may be indictments tomorrow AND a grand jury extension.
These last minute events and the possibility of a conspiracy charge makes me suspicious of that possibility. There is just so much time that this case has gone on and so much speculation from the minute leaks that have entered the public domain that I think it is possible.

Since last night I have been reading hints of an extension in news articles and blogs.

Let's see. This is just my hunch.

What do you all think will happen?

2. I think some indictments today with a news conference tomorrow...
plus an extension of the grand jury in order to broaden the case...AND Fitgerald gets Cheney, Rove and Libby in the library with the candlestick.

3. Indictments by Friday
on key players, with a request for an extension because the investigation has broadened from the outing of a CIA agent to the lies that sent us to war to the stolen elections.

4. If you hadn't written this thread 77,000 DUers were waiting to.
Not to make fun of it, but everyone wants the indictments and DU is starting to sound like Mr Rogers:

Tomorrow Tomorrow
he'll indict the gang tomorrow
when the sun shines through

Till then I hope
your threads are happy.
Till then I hope
your threads are snappy!

Tomorrow Tomorrow...

7. I actually believe this to be so, but I understand what you mean.
This would be the worst case scenario for the Bush administration.

But it is what I believe after combing through many different news leaks and blogs.

I wonder if the forged documents in Italy are in any way a factor in the big picture. It seems like a lot of people have been turning and squealing late in the game and may have broadened the case. There is a lot of last minute scrambling according to the news, such as the FBI talking to the Wilson's neighbors.

6. I think so too
I am sure there will be some kind of indictment tomorrow. It might not be any of the big ones that we all want to see but it will be something at least. I am sure that we are going to see multiple indictments, I just can't see how Scooter, Rove and Cheney could get away with out getting hit. Well maybe Cheney

The more of Bush Co. that is indicted the happier I will be. It would be even greater if some of these people went to jail or something.

8. It's what I'm HOPING for!
At the risk of being taken for another "internet crazy" and in the hope that Fitz wants to get to Rock Bottom of the Bush* Cabal's evil machinations, I just sent him the http://demopedia.democraticunderground.com/index.php/PNAC_101">timeline of the neocon rise to power. It gives context and perspective to his investigation and it connects the remaining dots to reveal a Big Picture that may not have been immediately obvious to him. Extendeding the GJ would give me hope that the PNAC bastards might finally be exposed.

For your background, Richard was the first to tip me last year to the developing Larry Franklin spy scandal, which proved to be right. - LJ

Aides To Be Indicted, Probe to Continue

By Richard Sale, longtime Intelligence Correspondent for UPI

(snip)

The probe is far from being at an end. According to this reporter's sources, Fitzgerald approached the judge in charge of the case and asked that a new grand jury be empaneled. The old grand jury, which has been sitting for two years, will expire on October 28.

10. Grand juror was overheard waving to a reporter and saying "see you Friday"
firedoglake: Today on the Tom-Toms

Just got off the phone with a source who has appeared before Fitzgerald's grand jury who thinks that the Special Counsel is going to "go wide" with indictments -- i.e., a lot of people are going to get nailed. And from what I'm hearing, I agree. Which is why I put so little stock in anyone who's running around saying "oooh, this just in -- Rove and Libby are going to be indicted! Announcement tomorrow!" That just lights my bullshit meter up like a pinball machine. Man, you are really out on a limb with that prediction, aren't ya?

Update: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/lawrence-odonnell/grand-jury-math-wapo_b_9568.html">Lawrence O'Donnell agrees: "Experienced federal prosecutors are saying today that they expect Fitzgerald to extend the term of the grand jury even if he obtains indictments this week."
