1. My guess is he brought sealed indictments
and asked for an extension

Then as expected he requested the salt and pepper.

At the end of the meeting the special prosecutor's face expressed the strain of the two year investigation, he excused himself to the mens room for 5 minutes. He emerged calm and confident. His hands slightly damp, he returned and asked for the waitress for his check. On news of his picking up the bill the dollar plunged $0.28 on the yen and DOW dropped 1.5%.

4. According to my attorney,
Fitz couldn't talk to the judge after indictments were issued. Unless of course counsel for the accused were there too.

Other reasons to meet with the judge:

-to seek an extension of the grand jury's term
-to ask for warrants to wiretap, search, etc.
