LAT: One juror to another: "See you Friday."
Suspense Builds Over CIA Leak Investigation
By Richard B. Schmitt, Times Staff Writer

WASHINGTON -- The CIA leak case continued to build today toward a climactic finish as a grand jury investigating possible wrongdoing by top White House figures met behind closed doors for three hours and the special counsel met privately with the chief judge overseeing the case.

Prosecutor Patrick J. Fitzgerald made no announcements about whether he had decided to seek indictments, though speculation was rampant that charges were imminent.

Sources close to the case said they doubted that Fitzgerald would seek to extend the term of the jury, which expires Friday, raising the likelihood of a dramatic denouement soon.

Some lawyers close to the case suggested that Fitzgerald may have already secured at least one indictment but was keeping it under seal until he was ready to announce the results of his 22-month investigation.

One grand juror was overheard telling another juror, "See you Friday," suggesting the possibility that the grand jury would continue to meet up to the last minute....

3. maybe or maybe not.
Could be that the juror thought she/he wouldn't be overheard.

PLUS...look at the leaks so far! They're all from the white house and the indicted attorneys. Not one is from a grand juror or they'll be sitting in jail.

Fitzgerald is a professional and it's why this charge WILL stick. It also shows the quality of his ethics compared to Star.

4. I really don't know, but
I would doubt that Fitz would dump his news on a Friday! That's the day that everybody dumps news they don't want folks to take notice of, for cryin' out loud.

Gimme a break!

6. Somehow I doubt if Fitzgerald really cares about the news cycles.
He'll dump the news when the job is done.

5. Or, could it be that they know about the circus on the lawn and are
just having a little Grand Jury humor because they are actually meeting tomorrow? Naaaaaa.

If is Friday - so be it.

10. Maybe they're going to the same football game?

Maybe they're having dinner together? If people served together on a grand jury for two years, is it possible they might form a friendship?

Is it possible that they might ALL have dinner together as a kind of celebration that their service is finished?

It's a reach.

I wonder when the press will start examining the entrails of roadkill ... or see if any "skid marks" are left in the toilet bowls. There's no telling how many interpretations we might get from that.

12. That's what I thought, perhaps a little socializing on Friday.
Maybe get together and offer a toast to Fitzgerald. :)
