Remember Elizabeth Edwards quoting Thomas Jefferson...
Almost a year ago, Elizabeth Edwards mentioned the following quote by Thomas Jefferson:

"A little patience, and we shall see the reign of witches pass over, their spells dissolve, and the people, recovering their true sight, restore their government to its true principles. It is true that in the meantime we are suffering deeply in spirit, and incurring the horrors of a war and long oppressions of enormous public debt. . . If the game runs sometimes against us at home we must have patience till luck turns, and then we shall have an opportunity of winning back the principles we have lost, for this is a game where principles are at stake."

- Thomas Jefferson in 1798 after the passing of the Sedition Act

16. The last I heard the prognosis was very positive...
Elizabeth had chemotherapy for four months to shrink the tumor, and a family spokeswoman said the chemotherapy had been successful. She was starting up to six weeks of radiation treatment.

"The prognosis continues to be very positive," her husband wrote in an e-mail to friends and supporters.

This was all reported several months ago. Does anyone here have a recent update, please?

3. Yes, I remember her post very well. I believe it was posted two days
after the election.

Elizabeth Edwards has more class in her fingernail than Lynn Cheney will ever hope to have.

4. Yes, I remember this from her!
I always wondered if she was giving us a hint that she knew of something going on behind the scenes that she couldn't reveal.

Do you think that Kerry has been helping Fitz in any way??

11. That is something that I considered but was unsure. I do feel a lot better
now that I know Elizabeth said it.

Thank you I stand corrected.

15. Interesting comment from her anyway...
Edited on Wed Oct-26-05 08:58 PM by ROH
"Bush was inactive and indecisive for a full 7 minutes the morning of 9/11 when informed of the attack on the World Trade Center. If Bush had acted quickly and intelligently, perhaps he could have given an order to shoot down the plane headed toward the Pentagon and saved the lives of those who were killed."

13. Calming words.
I remember that very well. I had just found DU. I was deeply depressed by the stealing of the election and the prospect of continued foulness in the whitehouse. It was very comforting to have found DU and people who care about each other and the truth. Elizabeth Edwards has good juju!

14. Author George R.R. Martin had the same quote on his website
following the election last year...

I can't wait for his next book, coming soon.
