Another RW asshole reported that Wilson's neighbors knew Plame
Edited on Wed Oct-26-05 08:49 PM by CatWoman
wasn't undercover and that she worked for the CIA. He STRONGLY hinted that just now on Hannity and Colmes.

He said he spoke to the neighbors after the FBI interviewed them.

And, this was the first time they had been interviewed by the FBI.

I see a pattern here.

First Scarborough.

Now Byron York.

Funny -- he doesn't spout that shit when he's on Hardball.

That's the sign my Uncle (86-yo) has in his garage down in Fountain Hills, AZ. Next to it is "Clean Living and Self-Denial" (things he first began to attempt at the age of 65) -- his favorite aphorism to make his family groan and roll our eyes.

Ya know, a neighbor can lie to a right wing pal, but they are not gonna
lie to federal agents in the performance of their official duties.

So what if some asshole says they know someone who knows a Plame neighbor and that person said such and such....the only statements that have weight are the ones made to the Feebs.

The ones who lived on either side of her said "The Agency???? Say WHUT????"

The clown who lived three blocks away can say whatever he'd like, I tend to put more veracity towards the ones sharing a fenceline with them.

10. It's true!
They found out after Novaks column. But when asked if they knew before that - No.

http://mediamatters.org/items/200510260005

Similarly, The Washington Post reported on October 26 that Lefkowitz and Tillotson "said they told two FBI agents they had no clue that Plame, whom they knew by her married name, Valerie Wilson, worked for the agency until Novak's column appeared."

Reuters reported on October 26 that when asked by FBI agents if he knew about Plame's CIA work before Novak revealed it in his column, Lefkowitz responded, "I didn't know." And in its October 26 account, the AP reported that Tillotson said he was asked by the FBI: "Did we know anything about her position before the story broke?" He responded, "Absolutely not."

The New York Times' Scott Shane had spoken to Tillotson more than three months ago, for the July 5 article. Shane quoted Tillotson as saying, "Before this whole affair, no one would ever have thought of her as an undercover agent." That New York Times article also quoted another of Wilson's neighbors, Christopher Wolf, who described his reaction to reading in Novak's column that Plame worked for the CIA: "I said: 'This is amazing! I had no idea.' "

11. And The Drums Beat Begins....
Guess they're really digging in! Perhaps this is a good sign!

These people didn't actually say anything NEGATIVE about the Wilson's, in fact they actually propped up the idea that SHE WAS undercover, ergo... they DIDN'T know!

I think it's MUCH A DO ABOUT NOTHING for the RW'ers! I don't know WHY Fitz is checking, but it may just be "extra info", or Red Rover MADE the suggestion and Fitz is just being thorough!!

It's really Hell waiting for Fitzmas, especially at our age!

12. The talking point du jour.
I'm waiting for "Wilson Neighbors for Truth" to come out of the woodwork.

"We knew she was a spy when we saw her with that license plate "IMCIA"

"She wore trenchcoats and dark glasses when she mowed the lawn. You had to wonder about that."

"Valerie Plame once threatened to get her co-workers to run a covert operation against me after my dog peed on her hydrangea."

"She said my cat was guilty of "wet work" when it killed a bird and left it on her deck."

It's coming folks.

21. If anyone of these asshats don't think they'll be dragged before the
Grand Jury to repeat their TV talking points, they're delusional. You do not fuck lightly with a federal grand jury investigation, and expect to get away with it.

And if they lie in front of a grand jury, they can expect to spend at least five years in a federal penitentiary, especially if they're receiving some payment to do so.

What this recent hysteria of "the neighbors knew" (contrary to all assertions actually ON RECORD) coming from the right wing probably tells us is that Libby has already been notified of an indictment for the underlying offense.

42. I think it was the NYT that made the point that they knew she
worked for the government but didn't know what she did there. They certainly didn't know it was anything high level. She was a soccer mom type.

If she was listed as covert, it doesn't matter. There aren't shades of covert.

43. shizzilator
You know those websites like the shizzilator where you plug in a website, and it converts the text into the way Snoop Dog would talk.

I think Republicans use a similar one, so when they read an article where two neighbor's said they absolutely didn't know she worked for the CIA, it automatically converts it into everybody knew.

How else can you explain such blatant disregard to the facts presented to you in an article.

I don't understand the psychology of a person who would lie to themselves to such great lengths as to read an article, and have their brain process it the exact opposite of the content.

Can somebody help explain?

-JD-
