Arianna on Dems and Iraq
Best line in her post:
“America Can Do Better” -- a soulless and vacuous phrase that sums up a party that’s become pathologically risk-averse.

>>>I like this post....it might be a little hard to take for some, but I agree pretty much with the thrust of what she says.

1. A perfect argument
for Gore as the nominee.

"America can do better," while being a lame sound-byte, was addressed by none other than Rush, PigMan, Limbaugh. PigMan was screaming that the phrase was not accidental because it is the same one used by Kennedy.

This is not back-to-the-future.

I vote Gore.

2. It's pretty pathetic
Edited on Wed Oct-26-05 09:34 PM by mmonk
especially in these dark days. It's like saying "we're nicer" or "not as bad as they are". No real patriots who will stand up for our way or challenge the heavy issues around the Iraq war, the lies, and America's behavior. I'm guarding my commitment and vote VERY carefully. It will be reserved for truthful and real democrats only who are willing to fight rather than assimilate.

3. How about "Americans deserve better"? Or "Americans are worthy
of more than these past years under republican control"?
